The law contains from many different branches, such as civil law, criminal law and others.
Civil Law is the section of the law that deals with disputes between individuals or organisations. Trhere are few main categories of civil law: torts, trusts and probate.
Criminal law is the body of law that punishes criminals for committing offences against the state.
Criminal and civil procedures, courts are different.
The main difference between criminal and civil procedures is that criminal actions are nearly always started by the state and civil actions are usually started by individuals. Courts also have differences, english Magistrates courts deals with both civil and criminal matters, but Crown courts deal exclusively with one or the other.
Punishments are differentin criminal and civil law, it can be imprisonment, usualy in criminal procedures, and in civil law defendant is usually punished by a fine.
In civil law, looser of a civil case must pay money to a winner. In criminal law, looser of criminal case are usually sentenced to jail or are binded over to keep the peace.
